The constraints on the strength of long-range forces within the range of 10-10 - 10-4 cm were obtained from the experiments on measurements of the total cross section of interaction of UCN with atoms of the noble gases and the data on the coherent neutron scattering length of the nucleus. Further prospects of UCN method is discussed. \\ ( http://arxiv.org/abs/1007.4882 , 462kb) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ \\ arXiv:1007.4943 Date: Wed, 28 Jul 2010 12:18:28 GMT (21kb) Title: Prolate-Spherical Shape Coexistence at N=28 in $^{44}$S Authors: C. The decay rates of the 0$^+_2$ isomeric state to the 2$^+_1$ and 0$^+_1$ states have been measured for the first time, leading to a reduced transition probability B(E2~:~2$^{+}_1$$\rightarrow$0$^{+}_2)$= 8.4(26)~e$^2$fm$^4$ and a monopole strength $\rho^2$(E0~:~0$^{+}_2$$\rightarrow$0$^{+}_1)$ =~8.7(7)$\times$10$^{-3}$. Comparisons to shell model calculations point towards prolate-spherical shape coexistence and a phenomenological two level mixing model is used to extract a weak mixing between the two configurations. \\ ( http://arxiv.org/abs/1007.4943 , 21kb) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ \\ arXiv:1007.4950 Date: Wed, 28 Jul 2010 12:46:52 GMT (143kb) Title: Systematics of Anti magnetic rotation in even-even Cd isotopes Authors: Santosh Roy, S. Singh Categories: nucl-ex nucl-th Comments: 18 pages including 6 figures \\ The lifetimes for the high spin levels of the yrast band of $^{110}$Cd has been measured. The estimated B(E2) values decrease with increase in angular momentum. This is the characteristic of Anti magnetic rotation as reported in $^{106,108}$Cd. However, alignment behavior of $^{110}$Cd is completely different from its even-even neighbors. A model based on classical particle plus rotor has been used to explore the underlying systematics and develop a self consistent picture for the observed behavior of these isotopes. \\ ( http://arxiv.org/abs/1007.4950 , 143kb) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ \\ arXiv:1007.4998 Date: Wed, 28 Jul 2010 14:58:07 GMT (242kb) Title: The neutron long counter NERO for studies of beta-delayed neutron emission in the r-process Authors: J. The detector was designed to work in conjunction with a beta-decay implantation station, so that beta decays and beta-delayed neutrons emitted from implanted nuclei can be measured simultaneously. The high efficiency of about 40%, for the range of energies of interest, along with the small background, are crucial for measuring beta-delayed neutron emission branchings for neutron-rich r-process nuclei produced as low intensity fragmentation beams in in-flight separator facilities. \\ ( http://arxiv.org/abs/1007.4998 , 242kb) %-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%-%- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ \\ arXiv:1007.4705 (*cross-listing*) Date: Tue, 27 Jul 2010 13:04:24 GMT (61kb,D) Date (revised v2): Wed, 28 Jul 2010 01:27:30 GMT (50kb,D) Title: Hard breakup of the deuteron into two $\Delta$-isobars Authors: Carlos G. Granados and Misak M. Sargsian Categories: hep-ph hep-ex nucl-ex nucl-th Comments: 17 pages, 3 figures \\ We study high energy photodisintegration of the deuteron into two $\Delta$-isobars at large center of mass angles within the QCD hard rescattering model (HRM). According to the HRM the process develops in three main steps: the photon knocks the quark from one of the nucleons in the deuteron; the struck quark rescatters off a quark from the other nucleon sharing the high energy of the photon; then the energetic quarks recombine into two outgoing baryons produced at large transverse momenta. Within the HRM the cross section is expressed through the amplitude of $pn\rightarrow \Delta\Delta$ scattering which we evaluated based on the quark-interchange model of hard hadronic scattering. Calculations show that the angular distribution and the strength of the photodisintegration is mainly determined by the properties of the $pn\rightarrow \Delta\Delta$ scattering. We predict a cross section for the deuteron breakup to $ \Delta^{++}\Delta^{-}$ a factor of 4-5 times larger than that for the breakup to the $ \Delta^{-}\Delta^{0}$ channel. Also, angular distributions for these two channels are markedly different. These can be compared with the predictions based on the assumption that two hard $\Delta$-isobars are the result of the disintegration of preexisting $\Delta\Delta$ components in the deuteron wave function. In this case one expects the angular distributions and cross sections of the breakup in both $ \Delta^{++}\Delta^{-}$ and $ \Delta^{-}\Delta^{0}$ channels to be similar. \\ ( http://arxiv.org/abs/1007.4705 , 50kb) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ \\ arXiv:1007.4979 (*cross-listing*) Date: Wed, 28 Jul 2010 13:54:35 GMT (67kb) Title: $\bar K^*$ meson in nuclear matter Authors: Laura Tolos, Raquel Molina, Eulogio Oset and Angels Ramos Categories: nucl-th hep-ph nucl-ex Comments: 6 pages, 5 figures, talk at International Nuclear Physics Conference 2010 (INPC2010), July 4-9, 2010, Vancouver (Canada) \\ The properties of the $\bar K^*$ meson in dense matter are studied using a unitary approach in coupled channels within the framework of the local hidden gauge formalism. We obtain the $\bar K^*$ spectral function in the nuclear medium and we found that the $\bar K^*$ develops an in-medium width up to five times bigger than in free space. We also estimate the transparency ratio of the $\gamma A \to K^+ K^{*-} A^\prime$ reaction, which we propose as a feasible experimental scenario to detect in-medium modifications of the $\bar K^*$ meson. \\ ( http://arxiv.org/abs/1007.4979 , 67kb) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ \\ arXiv:1007.5021 (*cross-listing*) Date: Wed, 28 Jul 2010 16:12:33 GMT (25kb) Title: Introduction to the Physics of Saturation Authors: Yuri V.
